This OECF-financed project covers the implementation of bridge replacement and rehabilitation programs in Twelve (12) provinces of Sumatra and Java. Two consultant teams are assigned for the project implementation. Team A is responsible for 19 construction packages in the 6 provinces of DI Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Riau, Jambi and South Sumatra; Team B is responsible for 16 packages in the other 6 provinces of Bengkulu, Lampung, West Java, Central Java, D.I. Yogyakarta and East Java. As Team A, CECI with its associated local firms undertakes to carry out design review and construction supervision of 107 replacement bridges and 80 rehabilitation bridges for the said 19 construction packages. |

--- To replace bridges aiming to overcome problems associated with collapse or critical condition.
--- To improve the road maintenance operation that will enable roads to be kept in good condition, and thus help to reduce transport costs. |
