CECI in India
The success and knowledge that CECI has attained while carrying Taiwan's rapid transit (metro) projects over the past 25 years has enabled CECI to extend its services into other Metropolises that have recently begun to plan and build their own metro systems. Both technically demanding and normally subject to fiscal restraint, the challenge of building a metro system can be enormous, and owing to the Taiwan experience of working in difficult geological conditions with limited amount of space, CECI has much to offer in its rapid transit engineering expertise.
In 2007, CECI entered the India market while contracting with the Taiwan firm Continental Engineering Corporation to assist in the Phase II construction of the Delhi Metro Project, which will add 127km of new rail to the total length of 74.5km in the first phase of the system.
